  a lively topic of debate. Although only a handful\nof libraries offer a 2
 4/7 service\, many are considering remaining open for\nlonger and wrestlin
 g with the implications. Is extended opening intended for\nstudents or to 
 enhance the university's reputation? What services are to be\nmade availab
 le and by whom? How is the extension to opening to be funded\nand can the 
 university be persuaded to pay? How will the library staff cope\nwith the 
 culture change?\nOur speakers will address these issues and many others as
