 n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIn this online event we will talk about working out the ways
  libraries can help support students\, researchers and staff with AI. The 
 session will start with an introduction to the issues of using AI such as 
 ChatGPT to do Literature Searching. Our second speaker will look at more A
 I tools that are available\, the impact it's having on HE and the employab
 ility aspect for students who are looking at AI in their industries via th

 anager at the University of East London. With a long-standing interest in 
 ethics in librarianship\, he has worked closely with colleagues across the
  university to highlight the issues around generative artificial intellige
 nce\, particularly in terms of societal bias\, “hallucinations” and pr
 ivacy concerns.\n\nKari Morley is Subject Librarian at Anglia Ruskin Unive
 rsity (ARU) supporting the Engineering\, Built Environment\, Computing and
  Business courses there. She first became interested in the use of AI in h
 igher education\, its impact on academic libraries and student behaviour a
 t the start on 2022 and has been a little obsessed ever since. She has spe
 nt the past year raising awareness and encouraging colleagues across ARU t
 o talk about AI and its potential for supporting students\, academic staff
 \, and researchers but also highlight the issues it brings too.\n\nCost\n
