DESCRIPTION:Twitter: @cpd25_M25 #cpd25\n\nThis workshop is part of the cpd2
 5 Aspects programme\, aimed at library staff looking to acquire additional
  skills and knowledge or staff working towards Chartership.\n\nThis sessio
 n is focussed on leadership and what it means for you and your career. We 
 will join Christopher Cipkin as he takes us through his own leadership jou
 rney so far\, and we will explore how leadership is something relevant to 
 all not just those with the title of “director”. This session will pro
 vide an opportunity for attendees to reflect on their own leadership journ
 eys\, wherever they are in their career. If you have ambitions to move int
 o leadership in your career\, or if you are just interested in reflecting 
 on your career so far and applying the lessons of leadership in your profe
 ssional development\, then this is the session for you. We particularly wa
 nt to welcome people who are currently under-represented in library leader
 ship.\n\nSpeaker biography:\n\nChristopher Cipkin joined Royal Holloway\, 
 University of London\, in 2019 as Director of Library\, Learning Support\,
  and Culture. He is responsible for strategic leadership of a team of over
  forty staff who provide a broad range of education and research services 
 within the College’s Student and Academic Services directorate. Prior to
  working at Royal Holloway\, Christopher’s career focussed particularly 
 on developing services around information and digital literacy\, academic 
 liaison\, and research support\, with a broad base of experience gained th
 rough previous posts at the Universities of Birmingham and Reading. He mai
 ntains a strong interest in staff development and workforce diversity\, an
 d is currently a member of SCONUL’s Organisational Development Strategy 
 Group and a professional registration mentor for CILIP. He is also a Senio
 r Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Associate of the Royal Col
 lege of Organists. Previous professional involvement has included roles wi
 th RLUK’s Associate Director’s Network\, CILIP’s Academic and Resear
 ch Libraries Group\, and IAML UK and Ireland.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nCost\n£25.00

 This session is virtual and will run via Zoom. Once your booking has been 
 confirmed\, joining instructions will be emailed the day before the event.
