SUMMARY:ASPECTS 2: Library Marketing [TG1/MARKETING]
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nThis workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspects programme\, ai
 med at library staff looking to acquire additional skills and knowledge or
  staff working towards Chartership.\n\nThis is a hands-on and interactive 
 workshop which breaks library marketing down into manageable chunks\, free
  of jargon and gimmicks. Above all the focus is on tying your library prom
 otion together into effective marketing campaigns.\n\nWe'll look at market
 ing strategically as a non-profit organisation\, and then work on segmenti
 ng your audience and tailoring messages for each group. We'll also look at
  how to distribute your messages via social media and other channels\, bef
 ore tying everything together in a strategic marketing plan. Delegates wil
 l get a template marketing campaign document to work on in the session and
  then take back to their own institutions to develop.\n\nEverything in thi
 s training is designed to be applicable right away\, whether you want to b
 etter communicate the value of a particular service\, or to market your en
 tire library.\n\n\n\nTrainer Biography:\nNed Potter is an Academic Liaison
  Librarian at the University of York\, and a Trainer for various organisat
 ions including the Bodleian\, the NHS and the British Library in the UK\, 
 and PiCS in Australasia.\nHis book The Library Marketing Toolkit was publi
