SUMMARY:Aspiring to Leadership - A 3 day course [Ref: TG4/Aspire]
DESCRIPTION:This 3 day course is aimed at managers with some experience who
  are looking to move into more senior roles and/or lead on specific projec
 ts.\n\nAspiring to leadership is uniquely placed because it is aimed at th
 ose working in the Library and Information profession as opposed to the ma
 ny generic leadership programmes currently available.\n\nAs well as offeri
 ng practical exercises and case studies\, it will give delegates the oppor
 tunity to interact with current practitioners in the field who have a prov
 en track record of successful leadership and are willing to share their va
 ried experiences and further explore the specific theme for each day.\n\nT

 ersity\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nOverall Course objectives:\n\n• To explore the diff
 erence between management and leadership\n• To reflect on and further de
 velop own leadership style\n• To cultivate a strategic approach\n• To 
 develop leadership skills and confidence\n• To create a development plan
  to maintain personal and professional development\n\nAspiring to Leadersh
 ip will also provide delegates with the opportunity to network with collea
 gues at a similar point in their career path\, during and after the course

  by Jackie Kernaghan\, a freelance Development Consultant focusing on Lead
 ership and Management development\, and teaching on HR professional course
