DESCRIPTION:Bidding for Projects\n29th November 2004\nClore Management Cent
 re\, London\n\nThe focus for this event will be how to secure funds for pr
 ojects rather than project management. The event is designed to help libra
 rians familiarise themselves with the themes required in writing successfu
 l bids.\n\nDelegates will be able to hear from other librarians’ experie
 nces and to pose questions to representatives of funding bodies.\n\nThe mo
 rning session will feature two speakers who have been involved in preparin
 g & making bids. It will be a case study approach\; our speakers will conc
 entrate on what makes a successful bid and the possible pitfalls. There wi
 ll be a Q&A at the end of each presentation.\n\nThe afternoon session will
  look at the other side of the coin\, with two speakers from funding bodie
 s explaining what they can\, and cannot\, do and what makes a successful b
 id from their point of view. At the end of the presentations there will be
  ‘surgery sessions’ when speakers will be able to offer one-to-one adv

  the 22nd November 2004 and any cancellations after that date will incur a
  50% cancellation fee. In the event of a “no show??? on the day 100% can
