DESCRIPTION:This day is aimed at staff in Library and Information Assistant
  roles who are looking to progress their career\, or perhaps change direct
 ion. Other library staff may also find it useful as it is suitable for tho
 se without LIS applications.\n\nSession overview:\nThis one day course is 
 perfect for anyone who is looking for ways to improve their skills and gai
 n more experience/qualifications in their current roles and how to plan ou
 t their future careers.\n\nLibrary staff will talk about their experiences
  completing qualifications such as ACLIP & NVQs  and doing a secondment et
 c\, in order to develop their roles.\n\nYou will learn how best to prepare
  yourself for the job application process and how to proactively structure
  your career. The session will also cover the CILIP qualifications framewo
