DESCRIPTION:Career Development Day for Library and Information Assistants\n
 \n19th May 2009\, 9.30am – 4.30pm\nMaughan Library\, Kings College Londo
 n plus visits to other libraries\n\nThis session is aimed at staff in Libr
 ary and Information Assistant roles who are looking to progress their care
 er\, or perhaps change direction. Other library staff may also find it use
 ful if they are applying for a new job.\n\n\nSession overview:\n	\nThis on
 e day course is perfect for anyone who is looking to apply for a new job. 
 You will learn how best to complete applications forms\, construct CVs and
  covering letters. The session will also cover the interview process with 
 practical advice on how to prepare for\, and be successful at\, interview.
  Two visits have also been arranged to give you an insight into business a
 nd health libraries. They will provide an understanding of how the librari
 es operate\; you will have an opportunity to talk to staff about the roles
  they have.\n\nExpert staff from Sue Hill Recruitment will be leading the 
 morning sessions and they bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experi
 ence in this area.\n\n\nProgramme details:\n\n9.30 – 10.00am Arrival\, r
