DESCRIPTION:This day is aimed at those in library and information assistant
  roles who would like to progress their career\, or perhaps change directi
 on\, but lack confidence in applying for jobs or perhaps are applying for 
 jobs but not being invited for interview. In the morning a workshop will l
 ook at how to make your applications irresistible to your prospective empl
 oyers and your covering letters stand out from the rest. In the afternoon\
 , senior information professionals will talk about their experience of rec
 ruiting staff.\n\nIn preparation for the morning workshop all delegates ar
 e asked to bring a job description for ‘their dream job’ or a ‘caree
