 ave significantly changed in the last decade\, especially in terms of stud
 ents from disadvantaged backgrounds where numbers have increased by 42%. U
 niversities have increased their efforts in widening participation\, remov
 ing barriers that would traditionally have deterred some prospective stude
 nts.\n\nIn this event\, we discover who today’s students are and how thi
 s changed over recent years. We will discover which groups are under-repre
 sented and what needs to be done to make universities more inclusive. We w
 ill also find out about good practice taking place across the Higher Educa
 tion sector\, with some inspirational stories of widening participation.\n
