SUMMARY:The Copyright Game (new edition!) [TG1/ASPECTS4]
DESCRIPTION:'Copyright the Card Game' is an engaging\, interactive approach
  to copyright education\, developed by Jane Secker and Chris Morrison and 
 available as an open educational resource. In this workshop Jane will intr
 oduce participants to the game as a creative way of learning and teaching 
 others about key aspects of UK copyright law relevant to their work in Hig
 her Education and other educational institutions.\n\nParticipants will dev
 elop an understanding of the basic principles of copyright legislation and
  work in teams to tackle a range of real world scenarios\, exploring the r
 elationships between legislation\, licences and fair dealing exceptions wh
 en using copyright content for educational purposes.\n\nLearning Outcomes:
 \n\n 	Understand how copyright works in practice in libraries and cultural
  / educational establishments\n 	Become familiar with available licences a
 nd the legislative framework\n 	Compare the roles of exceptions and licenc
 es through a series of real world scenarios\n 	Reflect on the role of risk
  management in making decisions and developing institutional policy\n\nThi
 s workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspects programme\, aimed at library staff
  looking to acquire additional skills and knowledge or those working towar
