DESCRIPTION:This visit will be taking place in conjunction with an afternoo
 n visit to the University of Essex Library.\nPlease also book onto this ev
 ent if you would like to attend the whole day.\n\nThe UK Data Archive\, ba
 sed at the University of Essex\, has been acquiring\, curating and preserv
 ing data for over 50 years. As the lead organisation for the UK Data Servi
 ce\, they provide researchers with trusted support\, quality training and 
 access to the UK’s largest collection of social\, economic and populatio
 n data.  They work closely with the University of Essex library to delive
 r training and this is a great opportunity to discover resources and train
 ing available to support your researchers.\n\nThe visit will provide an in
 troduction to the Service and data management followed by a tour of the Ar
 chive and server room. As an ISO27001 accredited secure facility this prov
 ides a rare chance to see behind closed doors and opportunity to network w
 ith people in your field.\n\nTea and coffee will be provided on arrival.\n
 \nBookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of the M2
 5 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.\n\nTo reserve a space please use 
 our online booking form.\n\nIf subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 v
 isit you find that you are unable to attend\, we ask that you let us know
  this as soon as possible. Cancellations received less than three working 
 days before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the even
 t of a ‘no-show’ on the day\, £25 will be charged.
