 uring the day to day running of an institutional network. The workshop is 
 complementary to the JANET-CERT Security Conference\, 14th December 2004.\
 n\nAre you increasingly reacting to potentially unauthorised access to you
 r network resources\, or deal with users who attempt to mis-use them? What
  do you do when somebody requests an investigation into a suspected abuse?
  Network managers have to find a balance between planning for the worst an
 d working for the best. Find out how others have approached this to assess
