 articipants to work with their time\, other people’s time and office sys
 tems more effectively to achieve individual and team objectives.\n\nLevel\
 nThis course assumes no previous knowledge of time management theory and p
 ractice or training in managing paper. However this session is aimed at pa
 ra-professional staff.\n\nObjectives\nBy the end of the course\, you will 
 be able to:\n\n      Prioritise effectively\n\n      Set and receive SMART
  goals and plan to achieve them\n\n      Use your diary as a planning tool
 \n\n      Identify and handle some situations that use time poorly\, in pa
 rticular around meetings\, use of e-mail\, saying no to requests from othe
 rs\, interruptions and desk management\n\n      Identify how your approach
  to your work may impact on your time management practices\n\nApproach\nTh
 e trainer will encourage participants to reflect on existing approaches to
  identify what is working well and what could be working more effectively.
  The trainer will introduce participants to additional techniques\, partic
 ipants will be asked to think through how they can apply them to their own
  situation\, raise questions\, challenges and additional issues.\n\nCost i
 s £100 for CPD25 members\, £150 for M25 affiliate members and £200 for 
 other institutions\, including breakfast\, lunch and refreshments.\n\nPlea
 se note that there are 12 places available for this event\, which will be 
 allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Bookings will close on the 2
 8th October 2004 and any cancellations after that date will incur a 50% ca
 ncellation fee. In the event of a “no show??? on the day 100% cancellati
 on charges will apply.
