DESCRIPTION:Directors and Heads of Service (from both within and without th
 e M25 Consortium) are invited to attend a Directors’ Briefing on Staff D
 iversity in Libraries. Directors should feel free to send a deputy if unab
 le to attend themselves.\n\nGary Loke\, Director of Knowledge\, Innovatio
 n and Delivery\, at Advance-HE\, will facilitate a discussion with Direc
 tors about how to encourage and develop under-represented groups within t
 he LIS profession using the Race Equality Charter (REC) as a framework.\n\
 nHong Anh Nguyen\, Information Service Manager at the King's Fund\, will p
 resent a case study on a reverse-mentoring programme that they implemented
  where staff members from under-represented groups mentored members of the
  senior leadership team on a range of initiatives and policies.\n\nDate &a
 mp\; time: Tuesday 22 September 2020\, 2pm to 4:30pm\n\nCost:\n\n 	M25 Con
 sortium members receive one free Directors' Briefing place per institution
  per year. Additional places cost £50\n 	Non-M25 Consortium members £75\
 n\nCancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50%
  cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day\, the full f
