DESCRIPTION:cpd25's programme of ten two-hour workshops is devised primaril
 y to support CILIP Chartership and ACLIP candidates. However\, many of the
  events in the programme are highly relevant to staff working as Library A
 ssistants\, Senior Library Assistants and so on. The events are aimed\, th
 erefore\, at all levels of library staff - who may or may not be seeking C
 ertification or Chartership\, but who wish to further their professional s
 kills and development.\n\nAim:\nThis workshop will focus on the fundamenta
 ls of e-resources collection development and management. The e-resources c
 overed will include working examples from the UEL collections - e-books\, 
 Journals\, Special collections\, Digital Archives\, Open access repositori
 es and Databases.\n\nObjective: \nBy the end of the session participants 
 will have an overview of the e-resource strategies\, policies and infrastr
 ucture that support the e-resource collections which form the core of a mo
 dern Academic Digital Library.\n\nProgramme outline: \nThis is an interac
 tive workshop involving a presentation\, group discussion and practical gr
 oup work.\n\nPlaces are available on either the whole series (£160 for cp
 d25 members\, £240 for external organisations) or for individual workshop
 s (£30 for cpd25 members\, £50 otherwise).\n\nThe event reference number
