 meant by emotional intelligence\, and finding personal EQ strengths and we
 aknesses.\n\n2. Controlling negative thinking\, maintaining optimism and p
 ositive outlook: cognitive restructuring and letting go.\n\n3. Skills in m
 anaging communication and conflict including handling anger (own and other
 s) and recognising non-verbal signs.\n\nThe session will give examples of 
 emotional stupidity\, out of which a discussion on what went wrong should 
 lead to an understanding of the definition of emotional intelligence.\n\nT
 he workshop will aim to build up interpersonal skills that can be brought 
 to conflict scenarios\, and develop ways to use emotional understanding of
  others to get “win/win? results.\n\nThe workshop will also help partici
 pants recognise anger\, both their own and others\, and ways of using this
  intelligently and assertively to create a positive outcome.\n\nThis event
  will be totally interactive and participants should be prepared to be inv
 olved in discussion and problem solving activities.\n\nBooking Information
 :\nCost is £90 for CPD25 members and £130 for other institutions\, inclu
 ding refreshments.\n\nPlease note that there are limited places available 
 for this event. Cancellations less than one week before the event will be
