 ast year\, this event updates and develops the issues discussed then.\n\nF
 ocus groups can be an extremely effective technique for gathering informat
 ion from users\,  providing rich information and insights which can supple
 ment and develop information obtained and library surveys to provide a mor
 e complete picture of user requirements.\n\nThis year's event builds on la
 st year\, but is suitable for everyone\, whether or not you attended previ

 ographies:\n\nSarah McNicol is a researcher at Evidence Base\, a research 
 and evaluation unit based within Library Services at the University of Cen
 tral England in Birmingham.  During the six years she has been at UCE\, Sa
 rah has worked on numerous research and evaluation projects including eval
 ued (Developing an evaluation model for e-libraries)\, Libraries: Outcomes
  and Measures and Evaluation and evidence-based training in libraries.  Ev
 idence Base also regularly carries out research on behalf of UCE library s
 ervices.\n\nPeter Godwin\nAcademic Liaison Librarian\, Business\, Tourism\
 , Leisure and Languages\, University of Bedfordshire\, and a member of SCO
 NUL Working Group for Information Literacy.\n\nMonica Glynn is the Learnin
 g Resources Manager for the Sheppard Library at the Hendon Campus of Middl
 esex University. Monica was asked to chair the departmental Marketing comm
 ittee. As part of the remit of that committee Monica has organised cross c
 ampus Focus Groups for the last two years.\n\nGill Stone is the Assistant 
 Learning Resource Manager for Computing and AV at the Enfield Campus of Mi
 ddlesex University and a member of the department Marketing committee. She
  is also the ALRM for the Distant Learning Support Unit within the Learnin
 g Resource Service. Gill has helped to coordinate cross campus Focus Group
 s and organised a number of on-line surveys over the last two years. \n\nB
 ooking Information:\n\nCost £40 for cpd25 members and £70 for other inst
 itutions\, including refreshments. \n\nPlease note there are limited place
 s available for this event. Cancellations less than one week before the ev
