DESCRIPTION:Twitter – #cpd25UCLTRIP\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSpend an afternoon wan
 dering through two of London’s most unusual Museums.\n\nFirst we will vi
 sit the Institute of Archaeology’s library and laboratory\, one of the f
 ew university archaeology departments that have a publicly available space
 . We will get the opportunity to speak to Ian Carroll\, the museum’s col
 lection manager\, who will tell us about the history and of the collection
  and show us some  interesting collection items.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWe will th
 en pass by Jeremy Bentham’s  Auto icon - an Early Modern equivalent of 
 a profile picture.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nNext we will visit  the  Grant Museum o
 f Zoology and speak to the museum’s curator\, Paolo Viscardi who will sh
 ow us around. The museum is packed full of unusual items\; skeletons inclu
 ding dodo bones\, mounted animals and specimens preserved in fluid includi
 ng a jar full of preserved moles .\n\nThese are part of the  UCL Museums 
 and Collections which includes the UCL Art Museum\, the Grant Museum\, the
  Petrie Museum(Egypt)\, and the Institute of Archaeology.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&n
