DESCRIPTION:Please note that this event is also advertised in the 'Professi
 onal Qualifications Support Workshops' section of our events calendar. \n\
 ncpd25's programme of ten two-hour workshops is devised primarily to suppo
 rt CILIP Chartership and ACLIP candidates. However\, many of the events in
  the programme are highly relevant to staff working as Library Assistants\
 , Senior Library Assistants and so on. The events are aimed\, therefore\, 
 at all levels of library staff - who may or may not be seeking Certificati
 on or Chartership\, but who wish to further their professional skills and 
 development.\n\nPlaces are available on either the whole series (£155 for
  cpd25 members\, £210 for external organisations) or for individual works
 hops (£29 for cpd25 members\, £49 otherwise).\n\nThe event reference num
 ber for booking a place on the whole series is TG1/QSALL. Please refer to 
 each workshop's individual description for their individual event referenc
 e numbers.\n\nMarketing your Library Services is becoming an increasingly 
 important aspect of library work. At some point in your career you will as
 ked to be involved in marketing part of your service\, be it a new service
  development or just raising the profile of an underused service. The aim 
 of this Introduction to Marketing workshop is to give participants an insi
 ght into key aspects of marketing within academic libraries. The workshop 
 will be facilitated by Angus Brown from Imperial College and Michelle Blak
 e from the London School of Economics who will provide a brief overview of
  marketing theory along with a case study from Imperial College that the g
 roup will be able to discuss. The session will be interactive with partici
 pants working in small groups on specific marketing plans.\n\nVenue: Room
