 ondon \n\nThese two sessions are aimed at: - Those new to teaching and the
  support of learning - The more experienced who would like to review their
  practice. Either or both sessions may be attended\; it is strongly recomm
 ended that those new to theory include the morning session. Tea\, coffee a
 nd biscuits will be provided at the start of both sessions. Those who atte
 nd both sessions will also receive lunch as part of the price. \n\nAM - Ho

 rning approaches and styles - Situated learning – implications for face-
 to-face and e-learning - Formulating learning objectives and outcomes By t
 he end of the session participants will be able to apply an understanding 
 of learning theories to their approaches to teaching choose appropriate te
 aching activities to suit different learning styles produce achievable lea
 rning objectives and outcomes \n\nPM - Group teaching - Characteristics of
  groups - Considerations for small and large groups - Considerations for o
 ne-off-teaching sessions - Strategies for engaging and interacting with le
 arners - Face-to-face and e-learning groups By the end of the session part
 icipants will be able to: choose appropriate assessment criteria for long 
 and short courses apply appropriate teaching strategies to suit group size
  and needs of students utilise their understanding of learning to develop 
 effective teaching events.\n\nBooking Information: Cost for individual ses
 sions is £40 for CPD25 members\, £55 for M25 affiliate members and £70 
 for other institutions\, including refreshments. \n\nThe cost for both ses
 sions is £60\, £90 and £110\, and includes lunch and refreshments. Plea
 se note that there are limited places available for this event. Cancellati
 ons less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation
  fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day\, the full fee will be ch
 arged.
