DESCRIPTION:Are you confused by the profusion of statistics that libraries 
 keep and wonder what they're actually for? \n\nIn this interactive session
  for staff involved in keeping and using statistics we will explore why we
  spend so much time and energy recording management information\; look at 
 some of the pitfalls to avoid in interpreting statistics or relying on the
 m too much\; and highlight cases where carefully managed collection and de
 ployment of statistics can help you make a case for change.\n\nSpeakers:
