DESCRIPTION:All academic libraries now realise the importance of actively o
 btaining student views about their services. Many have conducted UX resear
 ch\, which uses the techniques of ethnography to explore how users experie
 nce library services and spaces. But what are we doing with all this feedb
 ack? Can it meaningfully feed into library-decision-making? And is it poss
 ible that we even gathering too much?\n\nCatherine Lauriol and Emma Illing
 worth will talk about the recent UX project undertaken at Birkbeck as well
  as other initiatives\, including a Student-Library partnership\, that hav
 e been created to capture student opinion. They will describe the processe
 s involved\, what they have learned\, and how the feedback has been used t
 o influence library planning.\n\nThis workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspect
 s programme\, aimed at library staff looking to acquire additional skills
