SUMMARY:Mainstream education as a disabled student [TG3/Education]
DESCRIPTION:Chloe Tear started a blog\, Life as a Cerebral Palsy Student\, 
 when she was 15 years old and this formed the basis of her desire to raise
  awareness. Her blog later changed its name to ‘Chloe Tear’ when she l
 eft education.\n\nShe’s a tireless campaigner\, disability activist and 
 public speaker who appears on radio and television as well pursuing a free
 lance writing career. Her work has supported the BBC\, Scope and RNIB whil
 e regularly supporting national campaigns in the field. Chloe is working t
 o raise awareness of living with cerebral palsy and sight loss\, with her 
 focus on a need to change public attitudes towards disability.\n\nIn 2018\
 , she was given a Prime Minister’s Points of Light award for raising dis
 ability awareness and has twice featured in the Shaw Trust Power 100 List 
 which comprised of the most influential disabled people in Britain. In 202
 0\, she received a British Education Award for her contribution to inclusi
 ve education.\n\nChloe’s freelance career has grown over the last few ye
 ars. Currently\, she also works for Scope as a content designer. In this r
 ole she writes information and advice that supports disabled people and th
 eir families to live the life they choose.\n\nIn this presentation\, Chloe
  will be focusing on her journey as well as how being visually impaired af
 fected how she accessed library services at university.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nInfo
