 should attend?	\nSenior and middle managers in leadership roles\n\nWhat wi
 ll you learn?	\nEffective change initiatives engage staff and encourage ev
 eryone to take an active role in the design and deployment of the transiti
 on\, and to do this with a sense of serious purpose and urgency.   The day
  will enable managers and leaders from across the University to reflect on
  and to decide on their collective and individual roles in enhancing the w
 ay the institution works with change.\n\nThe day is intended to help parti
 cipants:\n•	develop an approach to change that is essentially creative\,
  optimistic and collaborative\, and that recognises change as the only con
 stant\;\n•	clarify the current situation within the University\, the deg
 ree to which there exists a shared vision\, and to share concerns and aspi
 rations they may have\;\n•	begin a process that will make explicit the v
 alues and behaviours\, the culture\, that will underpin the activities of 
 the University\;\n•	consider how best they can support their colleagues 
 to engage and to create their own future\, through a hundred small interve
 ntions.\nContent	The programme will address some key themes relating to ch
 ange:\n•	Change as a constant – chaos and the complex adaptive organis
 m\n•	The role of leadership – vision\, direction\, energy\, facilitati
 on\, persistence\, reward and feedback\n•	Change ‘management’ as myt
 h – the power of influence: values\, behaviours and culture\n•	Continu
 ous improvement as a way of doing business\n•	Appreciative enquiry or pr
