 ship’ course.\n\nThis programme of three full-day sessions is aimed at m
 anagers with some experience\, who are looking to develop their skills wit
 h a view to moving into a more senior role. The sessions will address curr
 ent and future challenges within Higher Education and will include:\n\n* 
   Defining the difference between leadership and management\n\n*  Cultiv
 ating a strategic approach though exploring a leadership toolkit\n\n*  De
 veloping skills\, self-confidence and resilience to help us to thrive in c
 hallenging situations\n\n*  Exploring future career possibilities\, inclu
 ding how to maintain our personal and professional development\n\n*  Exch
 anging ideas and experience in a supportive and confidential environment\n
 \nThe sessions will be facilitated by Jackie Kernaghan\, a freelance Devel
 opment Consultant focusing on Leadership and Management development\, Medi
 ation and research and analysis of HR issues. Jackie brings 10 years’ ex
 perience in the HE sector in staff development roles with a primary focus 
 on supporting managers to enhance team performance and manage change. The 
 programme will incorporate practical exercises and case studies to help pa
 rticipants to translate their learning into practical action. Each session
  will also include a guest speaker who will develop and explore the theme 
 of the day as well as share their own experiences.\n\nThe three sessions a
