SUMMARY:Managing physical resources in a HE library [TG3/Resources] - Event

DESCRIPTION:*THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL AND A WAITING LIST IS AVAILABLE*\n\nInt
 erested in learning more about the practical aspects of managing physical 
 library collections?  This half day event will provide an overview of col
 lections management as well as advice and practical skills in handling and
  managing physical resources.  The event will begin with a brief overview
  of the Library\, Archive &amp\; Open Research Services (LAORS) at the Lon
 don School of Hygiene &amp\; Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)\, followed by an in
 formal presentation on topics relating to managing physical resources in a
 n academic library\, culminating in a tour of LSHTM Library and collection
 s.  There will also be training in handling rare books and a chance to ex
 plore some of the rare books and archives held in the collections.  This 
 event is primarily aimed at library assistants and senior library assistan
 ts\, and those new to working in acquisitions\, resources and collections.
