 nts looking for a place to study and changing styles of teaching that use 
 more group work\, libraries need to move away from their traditional desig
 n and role and be pro-active in helping readers find study space to suit t
 heir needs. This session looks at how some libraries are making these chan
 ges.\n\nProgramme to follow\nSpeakers:\n\nPeter Williams and Catherine Lau
 riol\, Birkbeck\, will talk about recent changes to study space and group 
 space provision following consultation with students. Birkbeck have introd
 uced Occupeye and Peter will briefly describe how it works.\n\nRichard Col
 lings and Clive Wilson\, LSE\, will describe their system 'Fair space for 
 all'\, introduced this summer to encourage students to share study space. 
 A refinement of their previous system\, flyers are placed on empty desks s
 aying that if the reader does not return to their desk within 30 minutes\,
  someone else may push their possessions aside and use the space.\n\nAqil
