DESCRIPTION:These times of change and uncertainty offer a good opportunity 
 to think more about the life skills we have learnt and to consider how to 
 use them to further career prospects and choices\, whether we remain in ou
 r current organisation or move to a new organisation or a different sector
 .\n\nErica Sosna (Director of 'The Life Project'\, a life skills education
  provider)\, has developed this bespoke course to enable library staff to 
 identify talents and explore their career opportunities in the light of th
 ese skills and talents.\n\nAimed at staff from all areas and grades of lib
 rary work\, the course offers a new outlook for individuals to take forwar
 d when considering their professional aspirations.\n\nObjectives:\n\nBy th
 e end of the day participants will have:\n\n• Used lateral thinking to r
 eview their skills\n\n• Explored how their interests and hobbies demonst
 rate a varied skill set\n\n• Worked with each other to explore new oppor
 tunities to use these skills \n\n• Developed a refreshed CV and a person
 al plan of action to move forward\n\nSessions include: \n\n• A personali
 sed skill set review process - to identify and name your transferable skil
 ls\n\n• Creative career exploration techniques\n\n• A specific and foc
 ussed goal and statement of intent \n\n• Simple\, effective project plan
 ning and action planning tools that can be used for both work and life \n 
 \nRegistration with tea/coffee is from 9.30am with the course starting at
