DESCRIPTION:cpd25 – New Managers Series\nFeb 1st\, Feb 14th\, March 8th 2
 006\n9.15-4.30pm.\n\nFully booked\n\nThe programme consists of three\, one
 -day workshops and has been specifically designed for staff in academic li
 braries and information services who have some limited experience of manag
 ing or supervising staff. This course is also suitable for those new to a 
 management role or with experience and wanting to refresh their skills. Th
 e three sessions are linked and previous participants found this approach 
 to be particularly helpful\, allowing issues and questions raised during o
 ne session to be covered in subsequent workshops.\nThe sessions are intend
 ed to be practical. Participants will be encouraged to share ideas and app
 roaches to identify individual service action plans\, which can be impleme
 nted on their return to work. Participants must be able to attend all thre
 e sessions and be prepared to carry out short practical assignments betwee
 n the sessions.\n\nOverall objectives\n•	To help participants to identif

 \nCost for the series is £220 for CPD25 members\, £250 for M25 affiliate
  members and £300 for other institutions\, including lunch and refreshmen
 ts on all three days.\n\nPlease note that there are limited places availab
 le for this event. Cancellations less than one week before the event will 
 be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the 
 day\, the full fee will be charged.
