It will also be an opportunity for participan ts to share resources and experiences in a friendly safe collaborative for um\n\n \;\n\nProgramme:\n\n14:00 Welcome\n\n14:05 -14:35 Charlie Worth ington &\; LC Chung: 'Co-creating OER services with students at King’ s College London'\n\nCharlie and LC will offer a brief overview of bringin g students in from across King’s to collaborate with library staff in de veloping the library guide for Open Education\, as well as co-designing an d co-delivering a brand-new pilot workshop about Open Educational Resource s. They will share thoughts about co-creation with students\, as well as p ractical tips on organising workload alongside study schedules.\n\n14:35- 15:05 Irene Garcia Barranco and Ella Burrows: 'One year of OERs at Imperia l: setbacks and successes.'\n\nIrene and Ella will offer a brief review of what they managed in the first year at their institution of promoting the adoption of OERs\, what setbacks and also successes they have experienced . She cha irs the library’s Open Education Working Group\, leading the work to sup port the development of knowledge and expertise in the field of open educa tion. Prior to King’s she worked in academic libraries specialising in b usiness and law.\n\nLC Chung has worked at King’s College London since 2 012\, joining as a Student Shelver\, then working in different roles such as Library Assistant and Learning Projects Coordinator\, before moving to her current role as Learning &\; Teaching Librarian. She supports the f aculties of dentistry\, and natural\, mathematical and engineering science s\, as well as the department of Classics. LC designs and delivers worksho ps to help students learn how to literature search and critically engage w ith GenAI. They also co-chair the library’s Open Education Working Group \, to advocate for and advance knowledge of OERs.\n\nIrene Garcia Barranco (she/her) is Copyright and Scholarly Communications Librarian at Imperial College London since October 2024. Irene supports the Imperial community to develop their copyright literacy skills and believes empowering people throughout providing them with the right information\, so they can make th eir own decisions regarding the use of 3rd party content in an educational context. Her interest in OERs has developed from a desire to support memb ers of the academic community to produce Open Content\, and to understand how to re-use and build upon materials that are already available as Open Educational Resources. The last 12 months working alongside Ella in the OE R adoption project has been an great opportunity to get to know the instit ution and the community much better\, having joined Imperial College quite recently.\n\nElla Burrows (she/her) is Acquisitions and Metadata Officer at Imperial College London\, where she assists with print and ebook p rovision\, reading lists and producing metadata. She also co-manages th e Imperial Library’s Special Collections\, sits on the library’s  sustainability group and has been leading the OER project with Irene  since November 2025. She is particularly interested in ensuring OERs h ave high-quality metadata and understanding how best to publicise and enable access to OERs.\n\nCeline Peignen is Head Librarian at Technologica l University of the Shannon (TUS)\, where she leads a multi-campus library service supporting learning\, teaching and research. With over 15 years ’ experience in academic librarianship\, she has particular interests in open education\, inclusive and accessible services\, digital transformati on and research support. Celine has contributed to national Open Education al Practice projects with the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teachi ng and Learning in Higher Education and has supported the development of T US Open Press\, the university’s open publishing platform. She is a memb er of the Advisory Board for the OER Community of Practice for the UK and Ireland and currently chairs the RUN-EU Librarians Group.\n\nMaura Flynn i s the Open Educational Resources (OER) Librarian at TUS. Maura manages the TUS Open Press\, the university’s open publishing platform and the TUS OER Index. Maura has contributed to OER awareness\, adoption and creation in Ireland\, through her central role in a multi-centre National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education project. Mau ra is an experienced Library and Information Professional\, who has worked in a variety of library\, information and educational settings\, includin g management\, academic and healthcare.\n\n \;\n\nInformation for join ing:\n\n This session is virtual and will run via Zoom.
