SUMMARY:ASPECTS 2: Presentation Skills [TG1/Presentation]
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is part of the cpd25 Aspects programme\, aimed at
  library staff looking to acquire additional skills and knowledge or staff
  working towards Chartership.\n\nThe aim of the workshop is to build confi
 dence and be able to produce amazing looking but\, crucially\, effective p
 resentations\, in a variety of styles depending on how important the prese
 ntation is and how much time you have.\n\nEverything in this hands-on trai
 ning is based on the research into multimedia communication\, and how to g
 et your key messages to stay in the minds of your audience: how to make yo
 ur message stick. No gimmicks\, just achievable ideas and techniques which
  work.\n\nWe'll cover the golden rules of creating presentations\, finding
  amazing images without breaking copyright laws or spending any money\, an
 d creating PowerPoint Presentations in different styles. We'll also look a
 t interactive quizzing tools such as Menti: when and when not to use them\
 , and how to use them most effectively.\n\nTrainer Biography:\n\nNed Potte
 r is an Academic Liaison Librarian and Trainer. He has presented at librar
 y events in the UK\, US\, New Zealand\, Australia and South Africa among o
 ther places\, and his presentations have been viewed well over 2.5 million
  times online.\n\nNed has run the presentation skills training at the Brit
 ish Library and the Bodleian Libraries\, as well as for UKeIG and NHS Libr
