DESCRIPTION:cpd25′s programme of nine two-hour workshops is devised prim
 arily to support CILIP Chartership and ACLIP candidates. However\, many of
  the events in the programme are highly relevant to staff working as Libra
 ry Assistants\, Senior Library Assistants and so on. The events are aimed\
 , therefore\, at all levels of library staff – who may or may not be see
 king Certification or Chartership\, but who wish to further their professi
 onal skills and development.\n\nSpeaker: Adjoa Boateng\, Head of Informat
 ion Service\, UEL.\n\nAim: This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of
  e-resources collection development and management. The e-resources covere
 d will include working examples from the UEL collections – e-books\, Jou
 rnals\, Special collections\, Digital Archives\, Open access repositories 
 and Databases.\n\nObjective:  By the end of the session participants will
  have an overview of the e-resource strategies\, policies and infrastructu
 re that support the e-resource collections which form the core of a modern
  Academic Digital Library.\n\nProgramme outline:  This is an interactive 
 workshop involving a presentation\, group discussion and practical group w
 ork.\n\nPlaces are available on either the whole series (£200 for cpd25 m
 embers\, £300 for external organisations) or for individual workshops (£
 50 for cpd25 members\, £75 otherwise).\n\nVenue: The Franklin Wilkins Lib
 rary Meeting Room (Room no 2.108)\, Franklin Wilkins Building\, 150 Stamfo
