DESCRIPTION:cpd25′s programme of nine two-hour workshops is devised prim
 arily to support CILIP Chartership and ACLIP candidates. However\, many of
  the events in the programme are highly relevant to staff working as Libra
 ry Assistants\, Senior Library Assistants and so on. The events are aimed\
 , therefore\, at all levels of library staff – who may or may not be see
 king Certification or Chartership\, but who wish to further their professi
 onal skills and development.\nPlaces are available on either the whole ser
 ies (£200 for cpd25 members\, £300 for external organisations) or for in
 dividual workshops (£50 for cpd25 members\, £75 otherwise).\n\nMarketing
  your Library Services is becoming an increasingly important aspect of lib
 rary work. At some point in your career you will be asked to be involved i
 n marketing part of your service\, be it a new service development or just
  raising the profile of an underused service. The aim of this Introduction
  to Marketing workshop is to give participants an insight into key aspects
  of marketing within academic libraries.\n\nThe workshop will be facilitat
 ed by Jo Alcock (EvidenceBase\, Birmingham City University: http://www.bc
 u.ac.uk/business/consultancy-and-partnerships/evidence-base) and Penny An
 drews (University of\nSheffield and Leeds Metropolitan University)\, who 
 will provide a brief overview of marketing theory along with case studies
