ompleted my bachelor's degree at the University of Oxford\, then some year
s later worked as Graduate Trainee Library Assistant at the Institute of A
dvanced Legal Studies. While studying for my master's in library and infor
mation studies at University College London\, I volunteered at the librari
es of the Worshipful Company of Brewers and the British Museum (Greece and
Rome). My first professional role was maternity cover at Cranfield Univer
sity library\, where I was involved in their services for interlibrary loa
ns and Open Access.\n\nI became Repository and Metadata Assistant Libraria
n at Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen) in 2016. Although I still have th
e same job title\, my responsibilities have changed quite a lot over the y
ears\, covering things such as cataloguing (now mostly done elsewhere in t
he team)\, running our open journal platform\, and supporting researchers
with things such as Open Access\, bibliometrics and outputs-based reportin
 g. I have chaired the special interest group for the Outputs module of the
Worktribe CRIS since 2023.\n\nI am particularly interested in metadata an
d Open Access. I am also a keen advocate of games-based learning\, having
co-organised several "Research Support Games Days" alongside Valerie McCut
cheon from the University of Glasgow.\n\nClaire Drake is one of two Resear
ch Support Librarians at Bath Spa University.   Claire and her colleague
work very closely with the University’s Research Support Office team ov
er preparations for the REF.  Claire also looks after content in BSU’s
research and data repositories and acts as a subject librarian for PhD stu
dents.  She advises researchers on areas including research data manageme
nt\, practice research\, getting published\, and Open Access.  Claire pre
viously worked at University of Bath in a very similar role\, having quali
fied as a Librarian in 2019.  Claire has previously worked in research ad
ministration within the faculty of H&amp\;SS at University of Bath and as
an Editorial Assistant on academic journals in the field of Education for
over 14 years.\n\nInformation for joining:\n\n This session is virtual an
