DESCRIPTION:Shared services offer libraries the opportunity to pool resourc
 es and expertise\, and to take advantage of economies of scale in the deli
 very of services and resources. But what constitutes a shared service? How
  are potential shared services identified\, developed\, implemented and ev
 aluated? What can go wrong?\n\nThis half-day event draws together a number
  of speakers from a mix of institutions and organisations\, each with firs
 t-hand experience of planning\, negotiating\, developing and delivering sh
 ared services to meet the needs of their users or the sector as a whole. T
 here will be the opportunity for participants to discuss issues and concer
 ns around shared services with colleagues\, and to ask questions of our ex
