SUMMARY:SLA Conference 2014: Tomorrow’s World - future-proofing yourself

DESCRIPTION:This event is the seventh annual cpd25 event designed for those
  who supervise staff\, services or both.\n\nThe Audience: Senior Library A
 ssistants\, Information Services Supervisors\, Library Assistants\, Inform
 ation Assistants (or their equivalent).\n\nFollowing on from the previous 
 successful events\, the day will enable participants to consider how to en
 sure our skills\, knowledge and library services continue to be of value i
 n the future.\n\nThe continuing growth of technology\, increased student e
 xpectations\, internationalisation of education and competition from other
  information service providers mean our libraries need to look ahead to re
 main relevant. This will be a highly participative day with plenty of oppo
 rtunities for networking -  enabling attendees to share their experiences
  and best practice.\n\nOutline Programme: \n\n9.30-10.00:  Tea/coffee and

 breakout sessions will involve attendees working in small groups.  Feedba
