DESCRIPTION:Twitter – #cpd25SPOT\n\nOne in four people will be affected b
 y mental illness in any year.  Come along and explore what the impact of 
 this is for you in your context.  What are the signs of psychological dis
 tress?  How do we know students are in trouble?  What should you do and 
 not do? What is an emergency?  Where can you get help from?\n\nThis works
 hop would be ideal for any library staff or student services staff who hav
 e disability support as part of their remit or are interested in the provi
 sion of services and support for users of the library who are disabled.  
 Attendees will have a chance to network and also discuss case studies in s
 mall groups giving the chance to have exchange of experiences.\n\n&nbsp\;\
 n\nTrainer: Clare Pointon\, Psychotherapist\, writer and former BBC radio 
 correspondent.\n\nClare has worked as a psychotherapist and counsellor in 
 both private practice and in a range of settings\, including NHS primary a
 nd secondary care\, with refugees\, an alcohol and drug setting\, and for 
 the past 10 years in Higher Education at the University for the Creative A
 rts (UCA) in Farnham\, Surrey\, as well as the University of Surrey in Gui
