DESCRIPTION:This afternoon seminar will benefit staff development officers 
 and other staff who are involved with programming staff training\, providi
 ng an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues.\n\nThree presentat
 ions on topics of current interest will be followed by an informal group d
 iscussion session\, allowing delegates to come together and share ideas on
  various issues relating to staff development.\n\nProgramme:\n\n1.00 – 2

  introduction\n\n2.05 – 2.30: Peter Williams\, University of East London
 \, will talk about training library staff at UEL to provide IT support\n\n
 2.30 – 2.55: Martin Carbonell\, Kingston University\, will talk about in
 tegrated support for student enquiries at Kingston\n\n2.55 – 3.20: Ruth 
 Murphy\, King’s College London\, will present a case study on introducin
 g a training hour at King’s\n\n3.20 – 4.05: Breakout discussion sessio
 n with coffee/tea and biscuits\n\n4.05 – 4.15: (approximately) Close.\n\
