 nAn opportunity to visit the multi award winning Town House building at Ki
 ngston University. Designed by RIBA Gold Medal-winning Grafton Architects\
 , the landmark building on Kingston University’s Penrhyn Road campus rec
 eived the highest accolade in UK architecture winning the RIBA Stirling Pr
 ize in 2021. RIBA jury chair Lord Foster said:\n\n"Kingston University's T
 own House is a theatre for life – a warehouse of ideas. It seamlessly br
 ings together student and town communities\, creating a progressive new mo
 del for higher education\, well deserving of international acclaim and att
 ention\," he said. "In this highly original work of architecture\, quiet r
 eading\, loud performance\, research and learning\, can delightfully co-ex
 ist. That is no mean feat. Education must be our future – and this must 
 be the future of education."\n\n\n\nIt then went on to win the European Un
 ion Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award in 2022.
  The highest accolade in European architecture. The jury praised its remar
 kable environmental quality for creating an excellent atmosphere for study
 ing\, gathering\, dancing and being together.\n\nThe tour will show you ro
 und the library\, reading gardens. We are hoping that we will also be able
