(empowering\, encouraging\, overseeing etc) which leads naturally into a
discussion of the delegation cycle from setting a task to performance revi
ew. Each stage of this is analysed in breakout groups to come up with a go
od practice guide for delegation.\n\nFeedback\, Training &amp\; Challenges

cise: training skills\n Debrief: training and upskilling\n Chat: challen
ges to your role\n\nComing back from the break\, we go into a fun ‘how N
OT to give feedback’ exercise\, which leads into a discussion on correct
ive feedback which can be empowering and productive We then look at traini
ng/coaching via a demonstration exercise by the trainer which is debriefed
for good upskilling skills. Finally we look at ways in which staff can ch
allenge the supervisor role\, and how to deal with these positively.\n\nAb
