employed to better understand our users’ habits and techniques.\n\nThis

learn some practical techniques. Have a practice on your own and then come

work and what methods will help?\n\nQuestions\n\nDonna Lanclos\n\nI am an
anthropologist and a folklorist and have been unapologetic about those two
things for quite a while\, now.  I found myself working in academic libr
aries starting in 2009\, and since then have been thinking\, writing\, and
talking a lot about the nature of information\, digital and physical plac
es\, and higher education generally.  I see my work as relevant not just
to libraries or universities\, but to conversations about how we as a soci
ety make sure that people have opportunities to learn how to think critica
lly\, to practice those skills\, and to find their voices. I work with a l
ot of different people. In addition to research and writing\, I conduct wo
rkshops\, facilitate discussions\, give talks\, and participate in panel d
iscussions on a range of topics that I find interesting.\n\nwww.donnalancl
