The largest special collec tion is the historical library collection of the Foreign\, Commonwealth an d Development Office\, which spans 500 years of world history and attracts readers from all over the world. Other areas of strength include theology \, medicine and science\, modern literature and voyages and travel. The vi sit will include an opportunity to see the current exhibition\, Hand writ ing history: 200 years of personal diaries\, held in the historic surround ings of the Weston Room\, a former chapel.\n\nAccessibility: There is step -free access to all the areas included in the visit.
