Its collections have been freely available for re search from 1610\, when it was founded under the will of Archbishop Richar d Bancroft.\n\nThe library now has a purpose-built home for the first time \, designed by Wright &\; Wright Architects. Completed in 2020\, the ne w Library is a sensitive addition to the site of the Grade I listed Palace and is the first new building on the site for 185 years.\n\nThis visit wi ll comprise of a talk\, a tour of the Library and an opportunity to look a t a small display.\n\nAccessibility: This tour will include stairs but can be adapted if required.
