DESCRIPTION:Following on from the highly successful visit we ran to the Mid
 dle Temple\, cpd25 is offering a visit to Lincoln’s Inn on 24th November
  2010. This visit will involve a talk about the Library and a tour around 
 it. There will also be an opportunity to see the rare book collection and 
 to look at the Hall itself. \n\nLincoln’s Inn is described on its websit
 e as:\n\n'One of the four Inns of Court.  The Inns of Court have played a 
 fundamental role in preparing students for call to the Bar and their progr
 ess to professional competence as barristers for many centuries.  With tha
 t role at its heart\, it is nonetheless a very multifarious organisation: 
 a collegiate and educational institution\, a membership organisation\, a p
 rofessional body\, a landlord\, a custodian of historic buildings\, a banq
 ueting venue and a tourist attraction' \n\nThis will be a fascinating insi
 ght into a secret world that few of us have the opportunity to access. The
  visit will begin at 2.30pm and finish around 4.30pm and is free of charge
