 uilding was opened in September 2017 and accommodates several services\, i
 ncluding the Library\, Archives\, Art Store\, and an Exhibitions Space. Th
 e Library space offers a variety of study seats\, with different zones for
  silent and collaborative work\, dedicated PGR space and a Study Terrace. 
 The Archives and Special Collections at Royal Holloway contain some of the
  earliest records of Bedford and Royal Holloway Colleges from the 19th cen
 tury to the present day\, relating to the history of Higher Education for 
 women\, personal papers of prominent individuals\, as well as collections 
 relating to theatre history. There will be the opportunity to explore high
 lights from the Art and Archive Collections in our Archive Reading Room\, 
 including insights from recent research projects that reveal more about th
 e history of Bedford College and the adventuring spirit of its founder and
  early female students. Visitors will also explore the Founders Reading Ro
 om\, which is part of the original library\, located within the Founders b
 uilding and available to students 24/7.  \n\nThe Exhibition Space at Roy
 al Holloway is a contemporary gallery space displaying art\, research and 
 contemporary practice from within Royal Holloway and beyond. The Exhibitio
 n Space has hosted a variety of displays ranging from social history\, imm
 ersive digital installations and fine art exhibitions. \n\nVisitors will 
 have the chance to explore the Picture Gallery collections. Our stunning G
 rade 1 listed Picture Gallery houses the Thomas Holloway collection of Vic
 torian paintings\, which includes world-class paintings\, sculptures\, pri
 nts\, drawings and watercolours including works by William Powell Frith\, 
 John Everett Millais and Edward Burne-Jones.  \n\nA link to the location
  of the library building can be found here. If visitors arrive by train\, 
 then it is a 25-minute walk to the campus\, or a 5-minute taxi journey. Th
 ere are also regular buses from Egham to Royal Holloway\, including a shut
 tle bus service from and to Egham Station. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nBookings for vi
 sits are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.

 three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fe
 e. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day\, £25 will be charged.\n\n&
