DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nTHIS VISIT IS NOW FULL AND A WAITING LIST IS AVAILAB
 LE\nWe are pleased to offer a cpd25 visit to the Imperial War Museum Libra
 ry which houses over 250\,000 items in its collection covering twentieth a
 nd twenty-first century conflict involving British and Commonwealth countr
 ies.  Along with material on military units and campaign histories\, they
  also have biographies\, manuals\, items relating to the economic\, social
  and cultural aspects of war\, journals\, newspapers\, ephemera\, propagan
 da and e-resources.   \nThe visit will cover: a brief history of IWM Li
 brary\, an introduction to the Collections Access &amp\; Research team\, a
 n overview of the IWM library collection and highlights display\, includin
 g some recent acquisitions and a tour of the Research Room and Services.\n
 The main entrance where we will meet has 9 steps – if anyone has any acc
 essibility requirements\, they are advised to use the West entrance and it
  would be helpful if you could let us know in advance so that we can liais
 e with the IWM library staff.\nHow To Get To Imperial War Museum London | 
 IWM\n\nBookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of t
 he M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.\n\nTHIS VISIT IS NOW FULL AN
 D A WAITING LIST IS AVAILABLE\n\nTo book a place on the waiting list\, ple
 ase use our online booking form for M25 Members.\n\nIf subsequent to booki
 ng a place on a cpd25 visit you find that you are unable to attend\, we as
 k that you let us know this as soon as possible. Cancellations received le
 ss than three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cancell
 ation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day\, £25 will be charg
 ed.
