DESCRIPTION:cpd25 is delighted to offer the opportunity to visit the Egypt 
 Exploration Society Library and Archive. This visit will include a present
 ation about the history of the collection and its future plans\, followed 
 by a tour of the library.\n\nThe Egypt Exploration Society funds and suppo
 rts archaeological fieldwork and research in Egypt. The Society is the UK
 ’s oldest independent funding body in the field of Egyptology\, and cont
 inues to carry out ground-breaking research in Egypt at sites including Ko
 m el-Daba\, Quesna and Tell Basta and the ancient capitals of Memphis and 
 Thebes. Their impressive research facilities include a world-class Egyptol
 ogical library and a unique collection of archival material relating to th
 e Society’s history from its foundation in 1882 to the present day. \n\n
 The visit will be of interest to anyone with an enthusiasm for this subjec
 t but also to librarians and archivists more generally since the EES is ke
 en to create links with other academic librarians.\n\nLocation: The Egypt
