DESCRIPTION:*THIS VISIT IS FULL AND A WAITING LIST IS AVAILABLE*\n\n\nThe l
 ibrary collections at the Museum of the Home have been continually develop
 ed by the curatorial team over the years and form a unique body of evidenc
 e for the study of home across a range of disciplines – spanning social 
 and economic history\, geographies of home\, material culture\, social ant
 hropology\, decorative arts\, art and design history and architecture. The
  collections extend to primary material such as diaries\, decorating and f
 urnishing advice manuals and household inventories\, as well as retail and
  trade catalogues. The Collections Library\, built as part of the capital 
 development project from 2018-2021\, and its associated stores house the m
 ajority of the library collection of over 6\,000 volumes and have made the
 m fully accessible to users for the first time in the history of the Museu
 m.\n\nThe visit will include:\n\n 	Introduction to the Collections Library
 \, history of the collections\, and library operations\n 	Highlights from 
 the special collections and some museum objects\n\nAttendees are welcome t
 o view the newly opened Real Rooms displays and other galleries at the end

 are unable to attend\, we ask that you let us know this as soon as possibl
 e.\n\nCancellations received less than three working days before the event
  will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ 
 on the day\, £25 will be charged.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nPlease note that advance 
 booking is required. If you have not received a booking confirmation email
 \, you won't be included on the registration list and may be turned away o
