DESCRIPTION:The National Institute for Medical Research is a research insti
 tute dedicated to studying important questions about the life processes th
 at are relevant to all aspects of health.  The Institute is the largest su
 pported by the Medical Research Council\, a national organisation funded b
 y the British taxpayer that promotes research into all areas of medical an
 d related science to improve the health of the British public.\n \nThis vi
 sit will be comprised of a quick talk about the Institute and the Library\
 , as well as a tour of the Library and Library store and a display of some
  older items.  This visit will be of interest to library and information p
 rofessionals who work in research libraries or are interested in medical r
 esearch.\n\nTea and coffee will be provided as part of the visit.\n \nThis
